City Market sells 11 branches to the 100 and Beyond retail chain for 35 million NIS, while planning to open 15 new locations in 2027.

The City Market retail chain, founded and managed by Yossi Schwartz, announced a strategic move to sell 11 of its branches to the "100 and Beyond" retail chain in a deal valued at approximately 35 million NIS.
The completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the Competition Commissioner and compliance with regulatory requirements. The sold branches are located in Be'er Ya'akov, Ramla, Kfar Saba, Beersheba, Kiryat Ono, Rehovot, Hadera, Or Yehuda, Tel Aviv-Yafo, and Gedera, and will be operated under the "100 and Beyond" chain led by Daniel Verdiguer.
The move is part of City Market's business strategy, combining the realization and optimization of operations alongside continued investment in growth by opening new branches across the country. Over the past year, City Market opened 8 new branches and plans to expand further in 2027 by opening about 15 additional branches nationwide.
Yossi Schwartz, founder and CEO of City Market, stated: "We continue to develop the City Market chain in accordance with our unique concept. Alongside the sale, we are currently opening 6 new branches with a total investment of 20 million NIS, and expect to open about 15 more branches in 2027."
