High Court Petition Demands Criminal Probe Into Channel 14 Security Leaks
The Forum of Iron Swords Combatants petitioned the High Court to demand criminal investigations against Channel 14, its management, and staff over severe wartime security leaks.

A petition has been submitted to Israel's High Court of Justice demanding criminal investigations against Channel 14, its management, and its staff over alleged severe security leaks during the ongoing war. The Forum of Iron Swords Combatants, led by Col. (res.) Hanoch Dauba, filed the legal action on Wednesday after law enforcement authorities allegedly failed to act on complaints regarding censorship violations.
Details of the Petition
The legal filing targets top officials including State Attorney Amit Isman, Deputy State Attorney Alon Altman, Police Investigations Chief Boaz Blat, and Chief Military Censor Brig. Gen. Netanel Cole. It also names Channel 14 operator Yitzhak Mirilashvili, CEO Ariel Edri, News Director Yoram Cohen, and prominent anchors and commentators such as Shimon Riklin, Yinon Magal, and Maj. Gen. (res.) Yiftach Ron-Tal.
Represented by attorney Idan Segar, the petitioners detailed over 13 documented incidents where sensitive military information was allegedly exposed. These include revealing intelligence-gathering equipment operating deep in Gaza, broadcasting real-time IDF troop locations in Lebanon, and publishing advance warnings prior to high-profile operations such as the pager attacks, the elimination of Hassan Nasrallah, and strikes in Iran.
Enforcement Inaction
The petitioners argued that enforcement bodies have abdicated their authority by refusing to open criminal probes despite confirmed censorship breaches. While the military censor acknowledged that certain leaks caused tangible security damage, no criminal investigations have been initiated thus far.
