A massive fire broke out at a waste site in the Druze town of Isfiya on Mount Carmel, prompting a large emergency response. More than 20 firefighting teams rushed to the scene as thick black smoke and towering flames were visible from a distance, triggering numerous calls to the Fire and Rescue Services 102 emergency hotline.

A command post was established under the leadership of the Haifa Fire Station commander. Firefighters are working intensively to prevent the blaze from spreading toward the Carmel Park and nearby residential neighborhoods, while authorities have urged the public to stay away from the area and keep access roads clear for emergency vehicles.

The Clean Air for Citizens organization commented on the incident: "The massive fire at the Isfiya garbage dump is yet another reminder that illegal and unregulated waste fires pose a real threat to public health. Instead of constantly putting out fires, the state must address the root of the problem: supervise waste sites, ensure advanced waste management, and effectively enforce the law."
