Buff Technologies Shares Rise 4.23% After US Patent Filings for AI Data
Buff Technologies filed three provisional patent applications in the US for AI training data verification technologies. Following the announcement, the company's shares rose 4.23% on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

Patents for AI Training Data
Buff Technologies has announced that it has received the necessary approvals to advance the initial registration of three provisional patent applications in the United States. The applications cover proprietary technologies developed for collecting, verifying, and analyzing video game footage.
The three applications address complementary technologies designed to support the delivery of high-quality, verified data for the development and training of artificial intelligence (AI) systems:
-
Real-Time Multiplayer Verification – Technology to verify that two or more recordings collected from different sources document the exact same multiplayer game in real time.
-
Authentic Human Gameplay Verification – Technology to analyze raw input patterns to identify and verify human activity, detecting the use of bots, automated command sequences, or recycled inputs.
-
Game Segment Identification and Delimitation – Technology to accurately identify the start and end points of games or game segments in video recordings for sorting and processing relevant content.
The company views the development of these technologies and the pursuit of patent protection as a core component of building a technological infrastructure with long-term commercial value. The patent registration process is intended to protect the company's proprietary knowledge, strengthen its competitive differentiation, and establish entry barriers for competitors.
Some of these technologies have already been integrated into the company's data supply operations. Buff Technologies clarified that the approval of the initial filings does not guarantee that patents will be granted, and the final scope of protection remains subject to examination by the relevant authorities.
Executive Commentary
Eli de Beer, CEO of Buff Technologies, stated:
"Our entry into the AI data space relies on two key assets we have built over the years: a broad gaming community and technology that allows us to generate and collect data on a large scale, and most importantly, to verify its quality and reliability. The AI industry needs accurate, authentic, and relevant data – and that is exactly the value we are building."
