A humorous video from the 18th BRICS summit in New Delhi has taken social media by storm, showing India's Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, snacking enthusiastically behind the Iranian delegation.
The lighthearted incident occurred while Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was addressing the summit. Footage captured Jaiswal consuming nuts and dried fruit from a box placed before him, eagerly chewing and licking his fingers on camera while the Iranian officials maintained stern expressions.
According to reports by ANI and Rediff, this marks Pezeshkian's first visit to India since taking office, taking place amid rising Middle Eastern tensions and including bilateral talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Ironically, Jaiswal had earlier posted a warm welcome on social media highlighting India-Iran ties. While the summit addressed major global issues, internet users quickly focused on the Indian spokesperson's hearty appetite.
