Bnei Brak: 8-year-old in serious condition after 12-meter fall
The child was seriously injured and evacuated to the hospital while unconscious. According to initial reports, he was allegedly locked in his room and attempted to exit via the balcony before falling into the building's parking lot. The incident is under investigation.
An 8-year-old child was seriously injured this morning, Sunday, after falling from a height of approximately 12 meters on Emek Yizrael Street in Bnei Brak. He was evacuated to Beilinson Hospital while unconscious, suffering from a severe head injury.
According to a source familiar with the case, there is a suspicion that the child's parents had locked him in his room on the fourth floor, and he attempted to exit through the balcony. It is believed that during this attempt, he fell into the building's parking lot, where he was found with severe injuries. The circumstances of the incident are currently under investigation.
Senior MADA medic Yosef Pesach stated: "We found the child lying on the ground unconscious with a severe head injury following a fall from a great height. We provided life-saving medical treatment and evacuated him in a MADA intensive care ambulance to the hospital. His condition is serious."
According to data from the Beterem organization, 8 children and teenagers have died from falls since the beginning of 2026. Statistics from the previous five years (2021–2025) indicate that 20 children and teenagers lost their lives due to falls from heights, with approximately 30% of those victims aged between 5 and 9.
