Drivers across the central region of Israel are bracing for severe traffic disruptions this afternoon as police finalize preparations for a major demonstration in Bnei Brak.

According to the Israel Police, the protest is scheduled to begin at 15:00 and is expected to trigger heavy congestion and road closures across several key arteries in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area. Dan District police officers are deploying reinforced units early in the afternoon to maintain public order, direct traffic at major intersections, and minimize the impact on commuters.

Route 4, one of the country's busiest national highways, is expected to face the most severe disruptions. Authorities warn that the highway may be closed in both directions between the Aluf Sadeh Interchange and the Em HaMotzot Interchange during peak afternoon travel hours, likely causing massive gridlock throughout the region.

Additional heavy delays and sudden closures are anticipated along Jabotinsky Road in Bnei Brak, a crucial thoroughfare connecting Petah Tikva, Ramat Gan, and Tel Aviv. The disruption is projected to severely affect public transportation routes, including services operated by Dan Public Transportation and other local lines.

Police have urged motorists to avoid the area entirely and utilize alternative routes and navigation applications. While emphasizing that the right to protest is a cornerstone of Israeli democracy, law enforcement warned that unauthorized road blocking and public disorder will be met with decisive enforcement.
