The Israeli crypto exchange Bit2C, operating since 2013, is being acquired by the eToro group. According to a Bit2C announcement from May 2026, the operations, including customer account management, are set to transfer to a company within the eToro group, pending transaction completion.

However, a sensitive aspect lies behind the deal. According to an analysis published by Chambers and Partners, a leading UK accounting and financial intelligence firm, Bit2C allegedly lost access, at least temporarily, to two of its crypto wallets. This reportedly created a deficit in the assets the company was supposed to hold to meet its liabilities. It is important to emphasize that this is reported information and not a regulatory ruling.

Under the acquisition agreement detailed by Chambers, the acquiring entity is December S.B Ltd, and the seller is BitTwoC Ltd. As part of the transaction, the buyer is expected to cover the alleged deficit and inject approximately 15 bitcoins, valued at about $1.25 million, alongside acquiring the full business operations and retaining the staff.

For the Israeli crypto market, eToro's entry could strengthen user trust and bring additional operational resources. Meanwhile, Bit2C's announcement notes that services and fees remain unchanged during the transition.
