A major technical malfunction was recorded on Monday evening in the popular payment application Bit, owned by Bank Hapoalim. Users nationwide reported being completely unable to access the application, receiving an error message stating: "Information not loaded, please try again."

This is not the first time the platform has experienced technical difficulties. In June, a major outage lasted for approximately two and a half hours, during which users reported failed money transfers and extreme difficulties reaching the application's customer service center. During the current malfunction, the application screen displays the following message:

"We are sorry, something is not working right now. There is a temporary malfunction in bit, and we are handling it. Please try again in a short while."

Bit is the most popular payment and money transfer application in Israel. Although owned by Bank Hapoalim, it is available to customers of all Israeli banks, allowing them to send and receive funds easily via mobile devices. The application serves 3.5 million active users, approximately two-thirds of whom do not hold accounts with Bank Hapoalim. The average annual volume of financial transfers through the application reached 2.45 billion shekels in 2025.
