The research unit of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange has summarized the trading week that has ended.

"In the stock market, a mixed trend was recorded over the past week, opposite to the one that characterized the previous week. The TA-35 index recorded a negative return, while the TA-90 index ended the week with gains," the report stated.

The trading week opened with price declines against the backdrop of rising geopolitical tensions and energy prices, continued instability around the Strait of Hormuz, and the publication of the Consumer Price Index, which showed a moderate 1.5% increase over the last 12 months. Trading was also influenced by the second-quarter financial reporting season and the escalation in tensions between Israel and Turkey following an Israeli Air Force strike in Syria. In the USA, notable declines were recorded, led by the Nasdaq.

The flagship indices finished the week with mixed results: the TA-35 index fell by 0.73% (up 14.9% year-to-date), while the TA-125 index fell by 0.37% (up 10.80% year-to-date). The TA-90 index, however, halted its recent negative trend, recording a 0.84% gain after four consecutive days of growth, though it remains 2.9% behind in year-to-date performance.

In the government and corporate bond market, leading Tel-Gov and Tel-Bond indices saw slight price increases, while long-term series declined. Tel-Gov indices fell by up to 0.2%. The Tel-Gov-General index recorded a slight decline of 0.03%, while Tel-Gov-Shekel and Tel-Gov-Linked indices each fell by 0.04%. The yield on 10-year Israeli government bonds rose to 3.95%, and the yield on 2-year bonds rose to 3.40%.

Capital and debt raising saw a surge, with cumulative raisings totaling approximately 7.8 billion shekels. The financial sector led with 6.3 billion shekels, while Mega Or and REIT 1 raised a combined 1.5 billion shekels. Additionally, the Givot Olam partnership conducted a rights issue totaling 8 million shekels.

Mutual funds recorded net inflows of approximately 1.94 billion shekels for the week, bringing the year-to-date total to 46.1 billion shekels. As of August 20, 2026, the total market volume stood at approximately 835.5 billion shekels, an increase of 83.2 billion shekels since the end of 2025.
