BeYachad Candidate Keren Terner Eyal Outlines Electoral Strategy Ahead of Vote
Keren Terner Eyal of the BeYachad party discussed election strategies, economic challenges, and the need for universal military conscription in a recent radio interview.
Despite high expectations, the BeYachad party has not surged in the polls as initially anticipated by its members, currently projected to win between 10 and 12 mandates. Keren Terner Eyal, a candidate for the party and former director-general of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Transport, discussed the political landscape ahead of the upcoming Knesset elections in an interview on 103FM radio with Gideon Oko and Amihai Attali.
Terner Eyal stressed that the change bloc and its four main parties are working in close coordination. She expressed confidence that the political momentum for BeYachad could shift as election day approaches, noting the reliance of current polling data on smaller factions.
Political Strategy and Coalition Unity
"We have 43 days until the elections, the change bloc, the correction bloc is managed well today, we have four parties, surplus agreements, and we are going to convince the public that things can be different here," Terner Eyal stated during the interview. She added that the primary goal remains replacing the current government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"We think the right thing for the State of Israel is for Naftali Bennett to be prime minister with Yair Lapid by his side and an excellent team of doers because that is what Israel needs for very significant repairs."
Economic and Security Priorities
Addressing economic concerns and criticism of the state budget, Terner Eyal criticized the handling of government finances and the defense establishment's ongoing demands. She pointed to systemic issues and coalition funds as mismanaged priorities under the current administration.
On the critical issue of military recruitment and reservist burdens, she emphasized the necessity of universal conscription and structural reforms in education funding for ultra-Orthodox institutions to ensure economic sustainability.
