Bennett Urges Netanyahu to Declare Qatar an Enemy State at UN Address
Naftali Bennett announced he will send the Qatar File to the UN, urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to declare Qatar an enemy state during his UN address.
Ahead of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to the UN General Assembly on Thursday, opposition figure and "Be-Yachad" list leader Naftali Bennett announced he will send the "Qatar File" to the UN Secretary-General and members of the UN Security Council.
Bennett stated that the document proves Qatar's direct involvement in the October 7 massacre. He called on Netanyahu to use his UN speech to declare Qatar an enemy state and expose its actions to the global community, asserting that dismantling Hamas is impossible without taking this step.
According to Bennett, Qatar financed Hamas and its military wing, celebrated the attacks, and continues to host Hamas leadership while funding radical Islamist terrorism. He emphasized that declaring Qatar an enemy state would receive backing from both the coalition and the opposition.
Bennett warned that Israel is currently failing to achieve its war goal of dismantling Hamas rule because Qatar allegedly maintains influence in Gaza and allows Hamas to rearm. He concluded that failing to act would whitewash Doha and compromise Israel's national security.
