Ben Gvir Urges Shin Bet Chief to Arrest Arab Party Leaders and Freeze Elections
National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir urged Shin Bet chief David Zini to arrest Arab party leaders and freeze election results amid an investigation into alleged foreign funding.

National Security Minister and Otzma Yehudit leader Itamar Ben Gvir called on Shin Bet chief David Zini to immediately arrest the leaders of Arab political parties and freeze the electoral process amid an ongoing investigation into alleged foreign interference.
The demand follows Shin Bet findings regarding suspicions of massive foreign funding and hostile state involvement in Israel's democratic elections. Ben Gvir urged the security agency to act without waiting for authorization from the Attorney General, suggesting that party leaders be detained for interrogation until the suspicions are fully clarified.
"An election has been stolen here in the State of Israel. We must not remain silent," Ben Gvir declared, demanding an immediate freeze on the certification of the 26th Knesset election results and coalition formation efforts.
The dramatic call coincides with the Central Election Committee finalizing the results for the 26th Knesset. Security agencies, including the Shin Bet and Mossad, are examining suspicions that millions of shekels from hostile nations, including Qatar and Turkey, flowed into the country to influence voting patterns in the Arab sector and the Negev.
