Three minutes were enough for Yarden Shua to remind everyone of his capabilities. The Beitar Jerusalem captain, who had been left out of the starting lineup in the team's last three matches and played only brief minutes for the Israeli national team in the UEFA Nations League, came on as a substitute against Hapoel Ramat Gan and provided a brilliant assist to Omer Atzili. Later, he added another great assist to Eugene Ansah in a 4-0 easy victory over the newly promoted side, proving his magic touch has not faded.

Immediately after the match, Shua and Atzili, two of Beitar's biggest stars, uploaded a joint post on social media to the tune of the song "Guess Who's Back," in what appeared to be a dig at national team coach Ran Ben Shimon. Within Beitar, however, the focus remained on the captain's comeback and his performance.

"He is the best in the country, we really need to tie his shoelaces for him," the club stated.

Shua was not the only one returning to form. Boris Enow scored a brace, looking more liberated alongside Alexis Cerrano, who grants him greater offensive freedom. Tomer Yosefi has also become one of the team's creative engines. After a season opener that included two losses, to Maccabi Netanya and Hapoel Tel Aviv, Almog Cohen's Beitar recorded its fourth consecutive victory.

The Upcoming Test Against Maccabi Tel Aviv

Despite the convincing display against Hapoel Ramat Gan, the next opponent will be a different kind of test: on Monday at Teddy Stadium, Maccabi Tel Aviv, which remains undefeated this season, awaits them. So far, Beitar has defeated teams not considered title contenders, making the upcoming match a significant indicator of their progress.

Beitar reached this stage with massive support in the stands, as about 3,500 fans accompanied them, displaying an impressive pyrotechnic show with fireworks and flares. The road to improvement was not smooth. After just two matchdays, Almog Cohen faced criticism, with suggestions within the club that he might be better suited for a sporting director role following Barak Yitzhaki's departure. Cohen stuck to his path, arguing that the absence of key players prevented the team from showing its expected form.

Looking Ahead with Confidence

Shun Weissman remains a primary concern, as he started again and continues to struggle to find his footing. Now, with momentum on their side and the crowd expected to fill Teddy Stadium against Maccabi Tel Aviv, Beitar hopes this renewed connection among its aces will turn the winning streak into a real statement of intent.

"We are starting to look the way I want. We played good football in the last two games as well. We came prepared from the first second against an intense opponent, and I am very satisfied," Almog Cohen said.
