The real estate company Beit VeGag launched a major urban renewal project in Tel Aviv this week by demolishing two aging residential buildings on HaAmora'im Street in the Neve Avivim neighborhood. The demolition cleared away 28 older apartments built in the 1970s across two four-story structures.

In place of the old buildings, the company will construct two modern eight-story residential complexes featuring a total of 68 new apartments and an underground parking garage. The demolition event was attended by company executives, including board director and controlling shareholder representative Rom Shahar, CEO Ronen Akavia, as well as longtime residents, new buyers, and local neighbors.

The project, designed by the Urbach Halevy Architects firm, offers a diverse mix of three- to five-room apartments. According to the agreements signed with the original property owners, each returning resident will receive an additional 25 square meters of living space, which includes a reinforced security room, a sun balcony, a private storage unit, and underground parking.

Eilat Lustig, VP of Marketing and Sales at Beit VeGag, noted that demolishing the buildings on HaAmora'im Street marks an emotional milestone for both the company and the residents who worked alongside them for nearly a decade. She expressed deep gratitude to the homeowners for their trust and patience throughout the long planning process.
