Hapoel Beersheba secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Hapoel Jerusalem at their home stadium, maintaining a 100% domestic record following European commitments. The evening began turbulently with Lucas Ventura and Jevon East dropped from the starting lineup due to a late arrival to the pre-match gathering. Riots in the stands between rival supporters also led to eight arrests before kickoff.

Once the match started, Vitalie Damascan stunned the hosts with a brilliant opener. Beersheba also lost Ventura, who came on as a halftime substitute but had to be replaced just seven minutes later due to an apparent hamstring strain. Despite a disallowed goal by Adrian Ugranese and mounting pressure, Beersheba mounted a dramatic comeback. Substitute Igor Zlatanovic equalized in the 74th minute and then converted a penalty ten minutes later after Ofek Nadir was sent off for fouling East inside the box.

Head coach Ran Kozuch praised his team's character after the final whistle. "You have to expect passion from us like we showed in the second half, especially in the final twenty minutes," Kozuch said. "The desire to win and constant pressure must be there regardless of fatigue." Zlatanovic echoed his coach's sentiments, emphasizing the mental resilience required to juggle European matches and domestic league play.

Meanwhile, Hapoel Jerusalem manager Lior Zada expressed frustration with the late collapse after a disciplined defensive performance. "We played a very good defensive game until the final stages, but the gaps in this league are significant," Zada noted. Despite the defeat, Jerusalem aims to regroup ahead of their upcoming fixture against Hapoel Tel Aviv, while Beersheba prepares for a crucial top-of-the-table clash against Maccabi Haifa next Monday.
