Three years after the October 7 massacre, reality TV participant and IDF veteran Dvir Solomon recalls the harrowing 20-hour battle in Kibbutz Be'eri, detailing how his older brother saved him from a terrorist ambush.

The Horror of October 7

Solomon, 28, recounted the unimaginable conditions he faced while fighting to rescue trapped civilians. He described rescuing five children trapped on the second floor of a burning home, praising a 15-year-old older brother who held a weapon to protect his younger siblings.

"This was the worst day of my life. No matter how much I trained in the unit for similar scenarios, nothing prepared me for what I encountered that day."

Battlefield Terrors and Family Rescue

During the fierce engagements, Solomon discovered that his own older brother had also rushed to Be'eri to help evacuate families. His brother ultimately dispatched a rescue force that saved Solomon's life during a deadly firefight.

  • Two IDF soldiers fell in that specific ambush: Eli Ginsberg and Sagi Golan.

  • Four additional soldiers were severely wounded.

After three days of continuous combat without sleep, Solomon finally allowed himself to grieve for his fallen comrades and process the immense trauma.
