The Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry, in coordination with the Commissioner of Standardization, has issued an urgent recall notice for the power supply of the FMS 3S, AC-2S (Model B3) lithium battery charger. Manufactured in China by FMS, the product was marketed as part of the RTF model aircraft kit imported by Shimon Shreiber Ltd.

A compliance test conducted by the Standards Institution of Israel revealed that the product fails to meet the official Israeli Standard (SI 62368 Part 1 for audio/video, information, and communication technology equipment).

Severe Safety Hazards

The testing established that the charger's outer casing and internal components lack the required resistance to heat and fire. Consequently, during normal operation or in the event of a malfunction, the plastic components may soften or melt. This defect poses an immediate risk of short-circuiting, fire outbreak, and severe electrical shock to users.

Action Required by Consumers

Anyone in possession of this product is urged to cease using it immediately. Customers are invited to return the charger to the point of purchase to receive a full refund.

For further inquiries, consumers can contact Shimon Shreiber Ltd. at 15 Rav Pardo Moshe Street, Bnei Brak, by phone at 03-6165792, or via email at amir@shreibers.com.
