The inauguration ceremony for the new agricultural moshav of Batron, located in the Jordan Valley Regional Council, was held today with the founding core, representatives of HaShomer HaChadash, public figures, and social leaders in attendance. Approximately 20 families recently settled on the land in Batron, forming the founding agricultural core after a process lasting over a year.

Yoel Zilberman, CEO and founder of HaShomer HaChadash, stated at the ceremony that the establishment of Batron is the tip of the iceberg of a larger project called 'Otef Yisrael,' which aims to establish settlements along the eastern border. Following October 7, everyone understands that establishing settlements on the borders is a top security necessity for Israel's future.

KKL Chairman Yifat Ostrinsky and Jordan Valley Regional Council Head David Alhayani also spoke at the event, emphasizing the historic significance of founding a new agricultural moshav in the Jordan Valley for the first time in 20 years to strengthen the country's eastern border and national resilience.
