Azrieli Mall Escalator Upgrades and Haifa Train Closures Scheduled
Azrieli Group launches a five-week escalator upgrade between Tel Aviv HaShalom station and Azrieli Mall starting October 10. Meanwhile, Israel Railways announces temporary closures at Haifa Hof HaCarmel.
Starting this Saturday night, October 10, 2026, the Azrieli Group will launch a five-week upgrade project for the escalators connecting the Tel Aviv HaShalom railway station to the Azrieli Mall.
The renovation work will be carried out gradually and intermittently, ensuring that at least one escalator remains operational at all times. The Azrieli Group emphasized that elevators and stairs will function as usual throughout the period, and on-site guidance teams will assist passengers with navigation.
Separately, Israel Railways announced that the Haifa Hof HaCarmel station will close on Friday, October 9, 2026, and again on Saturday, October 16, 2026, halting train traffic north of the station. Free shuttle services will be provided in both directions to accommodate affected passengers.
