Aylon Faces Yield Hurdles in Provident Funds Expansion Amid Market Dip
Aylon Insurance draws 3 billion shekels into its new provident funds but faces below-average October yields due to high domestic market exposure.

Aylon Insurance is aggressively expanding into the provident funds sector, leveraging its marketing campaign to promise the highest returns as it did with its savings policies. The aggressive push allowed Aylon to attract 3 billion shekels from competitors in a short period, shaking up the industry.
However, regulatory bodies have frequently warned against the common industry phenomenon where different investment houses rotate leading the monthly yield tables. Aylon's strategic bet on high exposure to the Israeli market, which successfully drove its multi-year outperformance in savings policies, is currently facing headwinds.
According to data for October, Aylon's general track provident fund is projected to post a 0.35% decline, placing it seventh in the industry rankings, while the market average anticipates a 0.25% to 0.3% drop. In contrast, its equity track is expected to perform relatively better with a 1% decline, securing fourth place against an industry average loss of 1.1% to 1.2%.
Market Volatility and Performance
October proved challenging for global and local markets. Following election outcomes, Tel Aviv indices experienced sharp declines, while the S&P 500 closed lower, though the strengthening dollar boosted foreign-track figures. Amid the downturn, More Investment House emerged as the sole standout, projecting a positive 0.4% general track return.
More continues to consolidate its strong standing since the beginning of the year, competing closely with Clal Insurance. Meanwhile, Aylon maintains its long-term strategy, banking on an eventual recovery of the Israeli market to validate its high domestic exposure approach.
