National Insurance Institute: Benefit payments to be transferred early

August is drawing to a close, and as is the case every month, the National Insurance Institute is distributing grants and benefits to hundreds of thousands of eligible Israelis. Below is the information regarding which payments are expected by the end of August and how the average payment amounts have changed.
The first benefits distributed this month were unemployment benefits and income support, which were paid on August 12. The reporting and payment deadline for insurance contributions for the self-employed and employers, usually set for the 15th, was moved to August 16 because the 15th fell on a Saturday.
Child allowances were deposited into recipients' accounts on August 20. The remaining benefits, originally scheduled for August 28, will be paid one day earlier, on Thursday, August 27, as the 28th falls on a Friday. Consequently, the final benefits for the month will be paid in just 4 days.

As previously noted, the average benefit amount has increased by 2.64% since the beginning of 2026 due to the rise in the Consumer Price Index. The average benefit amount across all categories following the latest update is approximately 5,280 shekels.
