In honor of Rosh Hashanah 5787, the National Insurance Institute is advancing the payment date for unemployment benefits and income support for September to 8.9.2026.
Likewise, in honor of the Sukkot 5787 holiday, the payment of long-term benefits has been advanced to 22.9.2026. The benefits affected by this change include:

Meanwhile, the reporting and payment date for insurance premiums for the self-employed and employers falls on 15.9. Child allowance is scheduled to reach eligible accounts on 20.9, the eve of Yom Kippur.
As of the beginning of 2026, the average benefit amount has increased by 2.64% due to the rise in the Consumer Price Index. The average benefit amount for all categories after the latest update is approximately 5,280 shekels.
