Southern Crime Boss Released Under Conditions After Ashkelon Shooting Arrest
A prominent southern crime boss and eight other suspects arrested over an Ashkelon shooting have been released under restrictive conditions by the court.

A crime boss from southern Israel was arrested on suspicion of involvement in a shooting incident in Ashkelon, but was later released under restrictive conditions by the court.
The incident began last Thursday night following reports of gunfire in Ashkelon. Police officers from the Ashkelon station and the Lachish Yamar unit arrived at the scene and launched an investigation after it was determined that the shooting resulted in no injuries.
During the weekend, investigators achieved a breakthrough by locating and arresting nine suspects connected to the shooting. All suspects were transferred to the local police station for questioning.
One of the detainees is classified by police as a major crime organization leader in Israel and a primary target of the Southern District, having previously served prison terms. Despite the gravity of the suspicions, the court ordered the release of all suspects under restrictive conditions.
