Arkia Union Issues Ultimatum Over Restructuring and Employee Rights
Arkia Israeli Airlines faces escalating labor tensions as the transport union issues an ultimatum over restructuring plans, equity dilution, and bypassed employee representation.

Labor relations at Arkia Israeli Airlines have deteriorated sharply as the Transportation and Ports Workers Union issued a stern ultimatum to the airline's management and owners. The union warned that unless disputed restructuring measures are halted immediately, retaliatory steps will commence.
In an official warning letter sent to company owners, Naksh Group CEO Avi Hormero, and CEO Oz Berlovitz, union deputy chair Nir Eisenberg accused management of pushing unilateral efficiency drives, reducing employee shareholdings, and bypassing worker representation through external consultants.
The union demands an immediate freeze on all contested measures, the suspension of consultants working around staff representatives, and the cancellation of equity dilution. While threatening decisive legal action, the union indicated it remains open to unconditional negotiations if management halts the contested policies.
