A man in Argentina was arrested after attempting to steal an 8-kg cut of beef by hiding it inside his trousers at a local supermarket in Posadas.
Security cameras captured the suspect selecting the large rib cut, valued at approximately 140,000 Argentine pesos, and stuffing it down his waistband before pulling his shirt over it.
A vigilant store employee monitoring the security feeds spotted the theft and alerted the manager, who intercepted the man near the checkout area and demanded he lift his shirt.
Local media and news anchors expressed astonishment at the bizarre method, noting the thin suspect suddenly appeared heavily altered in shape, and store management filed a formal complaint with the police.
