After Leaving Reshet 13: Avishay Ben Haim Lands a New Role
The "Patriots" panelist and well-known commentator who left Reshet 13 is returning to print journalism. He joins "Makor Rishon" to write a regular weekly column in the "Yoman" supplement, addressing questions on religion, tradition, and Israeli identity.
Journalist, commentator, and researcher of Israeli society, Dr. Avishay Ben Haim, is joining "Makor Rishon" to begin writing a regular weekly column in the newspaper's "Yoman" supplement.
The column, presented in a Q&A format, will explore various facets of Israeli and Jewish life, covering both practical and ideological themes. Topics will range from the tensions between Haredi and Religious Zionist thought, Kabbalah and Halakha, and mysticism and rationalism, to the rivalries between Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Tel Aviv, as well as the renaissance of traditionalism in Mizrahi pop music.
Ben Haim is a doctor of Jewish philosophy and a qualified historian, recognized for his expertise on Haredi society and Mizrahi traditionalism. Over the years, he served as a commentator on Haredi affairs at Reshet 13 and previously authored a popular column in the newspaper "Maariv". He has created television documentary series and published several books, including the bestsellers "The Second Israel", "The Haredim: Knowing the Lover", and his latest work, "The Traditionalism Manifesto". Today, he is a regular panelist on the program "The Patriots" and other shows on Channel 14.
