Anthropic Targets $2 Trillion Valuation Ahead of Anticipated November IPO
Anthropic is reportedly planning its IPO for as early as next month, targeting a valuation exceeding $2 trillion amid surging revenues and massive computing expenditures.

Anthropic is reportedly planning to launch its highly anticipated initial public offering (IPO) as early as next month. According to Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the matter, the artificial intelligence giant aims to begin its official roadshow on November 9, with trading expected to commence before the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday on November 26.
Discussions remain ongoing, and the timeline could still shift. Anthropic reportedly expects the IPO to match the scale of SpaceX's record-breaking offering. A Reuters report earlier this week revealed that the company may target a valuation exceeding $2 trillion, following a year in which its revenue surged twelvefold to nearly $4.6 billion. Meanwhile, Anthropic posted a net loss of nearly $42 billion for 2025, while warning in its prospectus of "catastrophic risks" to humanity from AI technology and disclosing massive expenditures on computing power and cloud infrastructure.
According to Bloomberg, Anthropic plans to meet with potential investors on October 14 at its headquarters in San Francisco. While Anthropic advances its IPO plans, rival companies have delayed or cancelled similar moves. OpenAI postponed its own public offering, with CEO Sam Altman stating it was not the right time. Both firms recently faced public scrutiny following incidents involving rogue AI agents, raising safety concerns. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei published an article last month calling on the industry to coordinate a slowdown in model development.
