A.M.I. Announces 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award Recipients for Music, Theater and Dance
The Israel Artists Association (A.M.I.) named the 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award recipients across music, acting, theater and dance. The awards will be presented at “Honoring Those Who Give 2026” on Wednesday, 23.10 at 20:00 in Petah Tikva.
The Israel Artists Association (A.M.I.) has announced the 2026 recipients of its Lifetime Achievement Awards, to be presented during the association’s annual “Honoring Those Who Give” event.
This year’s awards will go to a range of artists, creators and cultural figures from music, acting, theater and dance, recognizing long-term work and their contribution to Israeli culture.
Music
In the music category, the Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to: Nurit Gelleron; Itzik Kala; Rami Danok; the duo of friends Yisrael Gotsdiner and Beni Rosenbaum; and Gini Rabin.
Acting and theater
In the acting and theater category, the Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to Shmuel Vilozh’ni, Eli Tsafran and Shifra Milshtein.
Dance
In the dance category, the award will be presented to Prof. Amir Kolb(en), founder and artistic director of the dance company “Kolb(en) Dance,” and Dr. Rena Bedash, choreographer, senior teacher, and dance and live interdisciplinary performance researcher.
Alongside the Lifetime Achievement Awards, A.M.I. will also present a “breakthrough artist” award to singer and creator Almah Gov, in recognition of original and unique work representing a new voice in the younger generation of Israeli creation.
An additional award for special contribution to culture will be presented to Aryeh Yamini, the outgoing manager of the Culture Hall in Petah Tikva, in recognition of decades of activity, nurturing artists and promoting cultural and artistic events.
The “Honoring Those Who Give 2026” event, hosted by actor Dan Spira, will take place on Wednesday (23.10) at 20:00 at the Culture Hall in Petah Tikva, under the auspices of the Petah Tikva municipality.
Among the event’s sponsors are: Eshkolot – the Company for the Rights of Performing Artists in Israel; ACUM; the P.I.L. (Federation for Israeli and Mediterranean Music); Eilam – for the rights of musicians in Israel; and Tedi Shaoli, from the Dovnov 8 restaurant, as well as the family of the late Dudu Dothan, former chair of A.M.I.
