Border control officers at the Population and Immigration Authority, alongside advanced border technology, prevented a fraudulent entry attempt into Israel at the Allenby Crossing from Jordan, stopping a group of 33 passengers carrying forged Japanese passports.

The passengers were referred for thorough professional processing and laboratory document analysis, revealing that the Japanese passports were entirely counterfeit. Further inspection established that the group consisted of 27 men and 6 women, Chinese nationals, who had entered and exited Jordan using their genuine Chinese passports before presenting the forged documents solely at the Israeli border.

Following these findings, entry was denied to all members of the group, and they were deported. The fraudulent passports were transferred for further intelligence investigation. The Population and Immigration Authority emphasized that the complex incident demonstrates the high professionalism of border control officers and the efficiency of advanced technological systems at border crossings in detecting anomalies and flagging suspect documentation in real time.

The document-forgery incident at the Allenby Crossing occurs against the backdrop of heightened security readiness across Israel's land and air border terminals. The chain of recent events underscores the critical combination of advanced technological alert systems and human vigilance among border inspectors working to prevent unauthorized infiltration.
