Daniil Medvedev fought back from a set down to defeat Germany's Jan-Lennard Struff 4:6, 6:4, 3:6. Felix Auger-Aliassime and Taylor Fritz also advanced to the next round.
In Beijing, Mirra Andreeva reached the final after a 2:6, 2:6 win over Czechia's Nikola Bartunkova. The 19-year-old Russian will face China's Qinwen Zheng in the championship match. Zheng advanced past Belgium's Elise Mertens 5:7, 2:6.
