The question of whether the surge in artificial intelligence investments is creating a new market bubble and where future opportunities lie took center stage at a panel discussion held Thursday during the "Investment Generation" festival, led by the financial house in cooperation with Globes.

The panel featured Yaniv Pagot, senior VP at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange; Yakira Shahar, manager of the Global Markets desk at Bank Hapoalim; Dor Aligula, co-founder and VP of business development at Bridgewise; and Ron Rabinowitz, VP of marketing at Colmex Group.

Pagot presented a cautious stance regarding the massive capital tech companies are pouring into AI infrastructure, warning of a potential gap between expenditures and revenue-generating capacities. "The burden of proof lies on the business model of these companies. Money is being poured here, and the pricing of growth is an event unlike anything we have seen," he said.

Aligula, on the other hand, argued that application developers focusing on AI might capture more economic value than the foundational model developers. Shahar highlighted the electricity sector as a critical bottleneck and investment opportunity due to soaring energy demands from data centers, while Rabinowitz cautioned young investors against relying on social media for financial decisions.
