The world of work has entered the next phase of the artificial intelligence revolution. While recent years focused on using AI as a tool to write code and text, search, analyze, and shorten tasks, AI agents are now taking on roles and tasks of their own. They manage entire processes and become nearly autonomous. This transformation is reshaping the role of the human worker: shifting from someone who uses AI to someone who manages it.

This shift is becoming tangible with the expansion of Agentforce, Salesforce's AI agent platform. The company is introducing a new portfolio of "ready-to-work" AI agents designed to handle business tasks in sales, service, commerce, employee experience, and back-office processes. Connected to Customer 360, these agents operate based on customer data and business processes already existing within the organization.

The Rise of Out-of-the-Box AI Agents

Hadas Admon, Product Management Director at Salesforce Israel, explains: "AI has already entered the worlds of service and IT, but there is always the cold start problem. Meaning, you have an agent, but it doesn't yet know how to handle customers and take actions. Large clients with budgets use third-party companies to help them with customized implementation, which is amazing. However, many clients struggle with this blank slate."

"The next and natural evolution in this process is out-of-the-box ready agents. After two years of experience, there is no product team today that doesn't work closely with customers in the AI worlds. The entire company has undergone transformation, including in sales and service," Admon notes.

Transforming Corporate Structures and Roles

At Incredibuild, a company operating for over 20 years developing software acceleration technologies, the impact is already visible. Over the past year, the company expanded its AI operations and integrated agents into development, support, and sales. Shimon Hason, CEO of Incredibuild, points out that the conversation has shifted from whether AI can write a single line of code to managing complex workflows.

"Today, the sales team, which numbered five employees, is entirely AI-driven, and we reassigned the former manager to another role with strict control and security processes. In technical support, where there used to be 13 employees, there are now two. AI handles 80-90% of support requests," Hason explains. Data from IDC and Salesforce indicates that 23% of employers created new roles following the adoption of AI, compared to 14% that reduced roles, proving that human oversight, critical judgment, and strategic control remain paramount.
