Israeli Fighter Ahavat Hashem Gordon Temporarily Steps Away from Ring

Israeli fighter Ahavat Hashem Gordon announced that he is forced to temporarily halt his training and fighting routine to undergo a medical procedure that he has postponed for a long time. On Tuesday, Gordon is scheduled to undergo a short surgery at a hospital in central Israel, followed by a recovery period.

In a video he published, Gordon addressed a recurring question from his followers regarding when his next fight will take place and why he has not yet announced anything. "Because you have become a huge part of this year and my journey, and much of what happened this year wouldn't have happened without you, you deserve to be partners in everything," he said.

According to him, the intensive string of fights over the past year caused him to postpone the treatment: "Due to all the madness of this past year, with more fights and more fights—though I regret nothing—there was a medical procedure I put off for a very long time. This week I am finally going to take care of it and check into a hospital."

Gordon did not detail the medical procedure he is set to undergo, but clarified that his return to action will not be immediate. He intends to document the rehabilitation process and share it with his followers as part of a weekly docu-series.

Despite the temporary stop, Gordon is already looking toward his return to the ring and dropped an intriguing hint about what is planned after recovery. "It won't be a short recovery, but together with your prayers we will return and bring an insane fight," he said.
