Adar Muchtar sold her soul to Bibi — but he ignored her
After abandoning all her values, groveling before the government, and begging for a shortened cooling-off period, Netanyahu left her out. This is how the social media star's fantasies about a seat in the Knesset ended.

Adar Muchtar has been dreaming for years of being elected to the Knesset. She wants to influence, she wants a chair next to the decision-makers, and she wants a salary, an office, and a security guard. But despite the fantasies, the dream, and the vision, she will not be in the next Knesset. Yesterday it was finally published that Muchtar's path to the Likud list was blocked — no reserved spot and no place in the primaries. Nothing at all. And this is not the first time it has happened to her.
In the previous elections, in 2022, she was barely 20 years old. She founded a party, recruited activists and supporters, and ran a guerrilla campaign that spoke to young people and focused on the housing crisis, the cost of living, and the economy. "I don't believe in Right and Left," she claimed then, insisting that everyone was corrupt, charlatans, and liars. The media petted her and immediately kicked her; politicians who winked at her when it seemed she was a popular figure turned their backs very quickly. That race ended with thousands of votes at the ballot box and public humiliation.
From there, Muchtar continued to the IDF, and returned two years later much more determined and armed with updated understanding regarding the journey she must take on the way to parliament. A day after she handed in her military ID, she already gave a launch interview to Yinon Magal on "The Patriots," and from that moment on, there was almost no day that she did not voice her opinion as a panelist on the many programs of Channel 14.
Muchtar was focused on the goal: she attacked the army, petted the political echelon, licked the boots of Netanyahu and his family, radicalized her views, and abandoned the values and messages from the previous run for the Knesset. Muchtar sold herself entirely for the needs of the "kingdom." She recited populist slogans, trolled anti-government protesters, and branded herself as a young right-winger, nationalist, traditionalist, and hater of leftists. Bibist "cupids" even tried to set her up with Mordechai David, because it's good for the brand. In short, Adar Muchtar did the work — but it wasn't enough. Politics stabbed her in the back again.
"With all due respect to TikTok, it's not enough to shove speakers at leftists. First, wear out another pair of shoes in the Likud, so we understand that your heart is in the Likud; otherwise, you will betray us like Iluz and the other young people," former MK Osnat Mark explained the rules of the game to her this week, when they met on a morning show on 14.
In the last two days, Muchtar went out on a final round of begging in the right-wing media. She went from program to program and delivered desperate monologues aimed at the ears of PM Netanyahu, who had the power to shorten her cooling-off period so she could run in the Likud primaries.
"I am appealing to you, PM Netanyahu, I appreciate you very much. I plowed the whole country for the Right, for you, and I only want my democratic right to run like everyone else," she said the day before yesterday on the late-night show of Fathi and Shay, "I don't want a reserved spot, I just want to run." It didn't help. Netanyahu chose to ignore her and shorten the cooling-off period for other panelists from Channel 14. And again, Muchtar will remain outside the Knesset.
After two failed attempts, it seems that Adar Muchtar still hasn't understood that in Israeli politics, it's not enough to shout slogans, confront leftists, and lick the boots of the "royal family" — you also need to know how to swim in the snake pit and beware of stings.
