The Haifa District Attorney's Office filed an indictment on Wednesday against Khamis Sawaed, a 30-year-old resident of Husniya in the Galilee. He is charged with identifying with ISIS and training with the intent to join the terrorist organization's combat ranks abroad.

Sawaed was arrested several weeks ago during a joint operation by the Central Unit of the Galilee District Police and the Shin Bet. Interrogations revealed that he expressed support for ISIS and viewed training materials related to combat tactics and weapons usage.

According to security officials, the materials he accessed included instructions on manufacturing missiles and drones for terrorist purposes. Following the investigation, the indictment was filed at the Haifa Magistrate's Court, accompanied by a request to keep the defendant in custody until the conclusion of the legal proceedings.
