Indictment filed against Avraham Hadi for attacking Channel 12 News offices
Avraham Hadi has been indicted for a series of attacks against media outlets and the Ministry of Justice. He faces charges of extortion, threats, vandalism, and obstruction of justice. Prosecutors state the acts were ideologically motivated and warn that his behavior indicates a rapid and dangerous escalation.
The State Attorney's Office filed an indictment this Wednesday at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court against 44-year-old Avraham Hadi from Ramat Gan, who smashed the door of Channel 12 News and threw bricks at the entrances of Haaretz and the Ministry of Justice. According to the indictment, Hadi also sprayed a threatening message in front of the Channel 13 News offices. The prosecution has requested that the court hold him in custody until the end of the proceedings.
The indictment reveals that Hadi acted based on his views regarding the judicial system and specific media outlets, deciding to inflict damage on media offices and the Ministry of Justice building in Tel Aviv. Furthermore, he threatened media employees and engaged in extortion against Channel 12 News staff, demanding they apologize for reports regarding the Sde Teiman affair.
According to the charges, at the end of July, Hadi left a threatening letter outside the Channel 12 News offices in Tel Aviv, threatening to harm the company's employees, and subsequently threw two bricks at the glass entrance door.
Previously, during four separate incidents in July, Hadi threw bricks at the glass doors of Channel 12, Haaretz, and the Ministry of Justice to intimidate staff. Additionally, in November 2025, Hadi sprayed a threatening message on a wall opposite the Channel 13 News offices, which read:
"The blood of the traitors will yet be spilled."
After committing these acts, Hadi attempted to destroy evidence by discarding the clothes he was wearing into a trash bin. The indictment charges him with extortion by threats, criminal threats, malicious damage, vandalism, and obstruction of justice. In the detention request filed simultaneously, the prosecution noted that his actions indicate a rapid and dangerous escalation.
