Severe accident in Hadera: vehicle lost control, hit a store and struck a woman to death

The woman, aged about 65, was trapped under the vehicle and extracted without signs of life. MADA teams were forced to declare her death at the scene. Police traffic investigators have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.

A woman aged about 65 was killed this morning, Wednesday, after being struck by a private vehicle at the Mix shopping complex in Hadera. According to the Fire and Rescue Authority, the vehicle lost control, hitting a store and a woman who was standing at the location.

The woman was trapped under the vehicle. Fire and Rescue personnel from the Hadera station worked to extract her, in parallel with the activities of MADA teams and the police at the scene. She suffered from severe multi-system trauma and was extracted without signs of life.

MADA paramedic Pavel Shkurtov and senior medic from the MADA motorcycle unit Ofer Yoshei said:

"We saw the pedestrian trapped while unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing, after being hit by a vehicle. We performed medical checks, but to our great regret, she was without signs of life and we were forced to declare her death."

Traffic accident investigators from the Menashe region and police officers from the Hadera station arrived at the scene and opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident. At the end of the rescue operations, the firefighters handed over the scene to the police for further handling.
