Taybeh

Foreign diplomats from France, Belgium, and Poland were attacked by masked extremists during an olive harvest visit in the West Bank village of Taybeh.

Central Command Chief Major General Avi Blut signed a closed military zone order for the town of Taybeh near Ramallah, citing the inability of the IDF and police to curb radical right-wing activists. Left-wing groups claim settlers exploited the order to target a local family.

In the first half of 2026, 660 incidents of nationalist crime were recorded in Judea and Samaria, alongside 45 deliberate attacks against security forces and 146 Palestinian casualties. The IDF warns of operational strain and is trying to curb friction on the ground.
