The delegation, commanded by Brig. Gen. (res.) Yossi Pinto, consists of about 80 rescuers and engineering experts, both active duty and reservists. Lt. Col. (res.) Ariel Lubiner, commander of the delegation's operational headquarters: "You see people trapped, alive and not alive; you have to take care of the souls that are there."

Rescue teams are operating in the city of Cali to locate missing persons under the rubble, while simultaneously mapping damaged buildings. Delegation commander, Col. Yossi Pinto: 'The chance of finding life is decreasing, we will soon move to recovery.' The Colombian Minister of Defense expressed gratitude for the aid and the warming of relations between the countries.
