Palestinian Workers

The State of Israel is working towards a significant reduction and the severance of dependence on the employment of Palestinian workers from Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza Strip. As recalled, already at the beginning of the war, the Security Cabinet made a decision to cancel the entry permits of over 100,000 Palestinian workers.

The Central Command commander halted the entry of Palestinian workers into Judea and Samaria, but the political echelon reversed the decision within two days. With an estimated tens of thousands of illegal residents entering through fence breaches, the industry is furious: "The government is abandoning security."

The Central Command has removed the restriction imposed following the recent wave of attacks, and determined that starting tomorrow, Palestinian workers will be allowed to return to Jewish communities in the West Bank. At the same time, the US Embassy extended the warning to its employees and their families, instructing them not to travel to the West Bank due to the security situation.

Following a series of security incidents, the Central Command Commander announced a ban on the entry of workers into communities in Judea and Samaria. Industrial zones are excluded, and construction sites can be exempted at the request of the communities.

According to a security source, the Commander of the Central Command, Major General Avi Bluth, announced the move to reduce friction between the populations, in light of the sequence of security events in recent days. It was further stated that industrial zones were excluded, and construction sites can be excluded at the request of the communities.
