Irish police are investigating the death of 56-year-old musician Glen Hansard. Preliminary findings suggest he lost control of his motorcycle after hitting a soft road shoulder.

Hansard, lead singer of The Frames and star of the film "Once", was killed in a motorcycle accident early in the morning. The police in Ireland are asking witnesses to provide information.

The musician, actor, and founder of the Irish folk-rock band The Frames was killed early this morning in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident. He is survived by his wife and a 4-year-old son. Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
