Erel Segal

Three prominent Channel 14 figures—Yinon Magal, Erel Segal, and Shimon Riklin—revisit their live broadcasts from October 7 in a new documentary, reflecting on the disaster, media roles, and personal tolls.

Former football star Eyal Berkovic erupted in a fierce on-air clash with his co-host Erel Segal on 103FM, angrily berating the show's producer over alleged bias.

During the program "The Patriots" on Channel 14, Erel Segal harshly attacked former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, following a plan he presented regarding the future of the Gaza Strip, in which he proposed bringing Egypt into the picture instead of Turkey and Qatar.

Eyal Berkovich and Erel Segal exploded on air over the Channel 14 blunder and the responsibility for October 7. Berkovich mocked: "You are the Mickey Mouse of the Israeli media," and Segal stated: "Ronen Bar acted with criminal negligence."

Erel Segal, filling in as the host for 'The Patriots' on Channel 14, opened the broadcast with a touching and humorous remark. Calling himself the 'grandfather of the program,' he jokingly asked after his colleagues, setting a lighthearted tone for the episode.

During the program 'The Patriots', Erel Segal harshly criticized the conduct of the media in Israel, claiming that they are permanently mobilized against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to him, this phenomenon is not new and he has been witnessing it for decades, especially around election cycles. He emphasized that it is a continuous and systematic campaign.

During the broadcast of 'The Patriots' on Wednesday, panelist Erel Segal sharply criticized the IDF's conduct. Segal claimed that a 'culture of fake investigations' exists within the military system, referencing a hiking incident near the village of Tel where Major Yuval Ezra and Captain (res.) Benyahu Malet, may God avenge their blood, were murdered while attempting to protect hikers.

Eyal Berkovic protests against the incitement and attacks against Guy Peleg's son, who has been suffering in the last day from false publications about him on social media and various Telegram channels.
