Electric Bicycle

The mother, whose son is sedated and on a ventilator in the hospital following a serious accident, warned parents: "In our home, electric bicycles were strictly forbidden, but social pressure won in a single moment. There is not enough enforcement and we cannot be there every second."

A man of about 25 was moderately injured this evening in a single-vehicle accident while riding an electric bicycle at the Ganim junction on Highway 40 in Petah Tikva. United Hatzalah medical teams provided initial treatment before evacuating him to Beilinson Hospital.

The man, a foreign worker aged about 30, was hit by a vehicle and sustained head and limb injuries. He was evacuated to Shamir-Assaf Harofeh Hospital in serious but stable condition.
