According to a report in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, attorney Dieter Wechtenbruch, who represented the Nazi criminal in Jerusalem, was operated by West German intelligence services. His mission was to report the defense strategy to his superiors and ensure that the Nazi past of government officials was not exposed.
