Prof. Jason Arday, who was the youngest Black professor at Cambridge, was found dead in his home following a storm over allegations of plagiarism. Ghent University in Belgium suspended the American researcher who raised the allegations against him and opened a disciplinary investigation.

About a week after the University of Cambridge announced an investigation into his academic past and the qualifications and degrees he boasted of - which led him to resign - Jason Arday was found lifeless in an apartment in London. The police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the death, but stated that at this stage there is no suspicion of foul play.
