Yonatan Razel Dances at Daughter's Wedding Months After Stroke
Singer Yonatan Razel emotionally walked his daughter down the aisle just four months after surviving a severe stroke and long rehabilitation.
Yonatan Razel walked his daughter Rivka down the aisle while singing and playing the piano, just four months after being rushed to the hospital following a severe stroke. The emotional wedding took place on Monday evening, and the 53-year-old singer accompanied the happy couple with a moving rendition of his song 'Mim'amakim', captured in a video by Avner Shaki.
Back in June, Razel was hospitalized due to a brain hemorrhage, after which he returned home to begin a long and gradual recovery process. His condition had been critical and life-threatening, prompting his family to ask the public for prayers. Years ago, when Rivka was only four years old, she also faced a life-threatening ordeal after falling five meters and being placed on life support. Fortunately, both father and daughter are now healthy, strong, and present for this deeply moving milestone. Mazel Tov!
Razel comes from a prominent musical family, including his brother Aharon Razel, sister Rika Van Loan Razel, and cousin Nitzan-Chen Razel. Having studied classical piano and conducting from a young age, he served as an outstanding musician in the IDF and released his debut album 'Sak Hakol' in 2007. In 2013, he released his defining song 'Katonti', composed after his daughter's earlier accident and based on biblical verses. Razel is married to Yael, is a father of eight, and lives in Givat Ze'ev.
