Fugitive Arrested Over Or Yehuda Grenade Attack That Injured Five

A 33-year-old suspect who had been on the run for several months was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of involvement in a shrapnel grenade attack on a business in Or Yehuda, which injured five civilians. The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court extended his detention on Sunday morning by three days.
The incident occurred on May 26 in the Neve Rabin neighborhood of Or Yehuda. According to police, emergency services received reports of an explosion in the area. An initial investigation revealed that a shrapnel grenade was thrown at an active business, injuring five people with varying degrees of severity.
Investigation and Indictments
The case was transferred to the Central Unit of the Tel Aviv District Police. Investigators reported "significant developments" during the probe, which previously led to the arrest and subsequent indictment of three other suspects. The indictment against them covers multiple violent incidents and the illegal use of weapons across the Gush Dan region.
Police officials state that the newly arrested suspect was part of the same criminal gang but managed to flee and remain at large for several months, unlike his three co-conspirators.
Following a breakthrough in the investigation, the suspect was apprehended on Friday and taken to the Tel Aviv Central Unit for questioning. On Sunday, he was brought before the Magistrate's Court, which approved the police request to keep him in custody until Tuesday.
