MK Yaron Levy Joins Yisrael Beytenu After Departing From Yesh Atid

MK Yaron Levy announced his transition to the Yisrael Beytenu party after previously stating he would leave Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid party at the end of the current Knesset term.

Levy will lead the national resilience and mental health portfolio for Yisrael Beytenu. According to the party's announcement, a comprehensive plan is currently being formulated under his leadership, featuring resource allocation and the expansion of community-level services.

Party leader Avigdor Lieberman welcomed the move, stating that Levy brings proven commitment and experience to a field that has become one of Israel's central challenges.

Levy previously served as deputy mayor of Bat Yam and entered the Knesset in August 2023 following the resignation of Orna Barbivai. During his tenure, he focused extensively on the mental health of combat soldiers.
