"Is there a spoiler here?": Tally Gotliv marks her blacklist in Likud

MK Tally Gotliv (Likud) believes that senior ministers in the party are trying to harm her ahead of the upcoming elections, while the Prime Minister supports her. In a conversation with Gidon Oko and Anat Davidov on 103fm radio, she explained why she will not let the reserved spot for Defense Minister Israel Katz pass in silence, and explained what shocked her so much in a video intended to encourage young Haredim to join the Intelligence Corps.

Likud primaries and her place in the party

Is the Prime Minister interested in excluding her from the top of the Likud list in the next Knesset? Gotliv denied it vigorously: "It's not the Prime Minister, enough with this urban legend. They found a genius way to blacken me and scare the free voters away from me. What will they say? That the Prime Minister wants to push Gotliv out."

"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who never issues denials about anything, issued a denial two weeks ago and said that those who want to push me out are Channels 11, 12, and 13, she claimed firmly. There was an orderly denial from the Prime Minister, and I tell you here: the Prime Minister is a very strong man, and he does not need weak people around him. The Prime Minister appreciates me very much, and if he wanted to push me out, he would not have offered me number five on the arranging committee when I am insisting on primaries."

Internal clashes with colleagues

After she was furious yesterday about the reserved spot for Defense Minister Israel Katz, Gotliv turned to talk about her place in the party: "I am the face of Likud. On the contrary, the Prime Minister appreciates me very much, and he knows my loyalty to Likud's values. Whoever does not want me at the front is someone who is unable to understand what this leadership is."

When asked who within Likud wants her harm, she replied honestly: "Israel Katz, Yariv Levin, and Haim Katz. What do you think is here - a spoiler?"

She does not intend to let it pass in silence and plans to petition the internal Likud court regarding the Defense Minister's reserved spot: "The one who hid the letter is Israel and not the Prime Minister. I told the court: I have no doubt that you did not know when you left him a reserved spot, that he is running a campaign without a problem, and security matters do not bother him. He released a campaign video, goes to events, takes jobs, and at conferences did not tell you this, right? The court will decide as it understands and in accordance with its decision and wisdom."

In a poll of Likud members published yesterday, Gotliv appeared in second place with 70% support. The survey, conducted by Dr. Nimrod Nir from the "Agam" institute, checked the "free votes" among 1,062 Likud members with voting rights, without weighting internal deals.

Do not create hatred of Haredim

"I have news for you, in our system of government we are not the masters of the whole land. We are in a coalition system that maintains a government, and there are side parties that need to be considered, and certainly not to create hatred for the Haredi public, said MK Gotliv. I will not be a partner in turning the Haredi public into a plague."

Regarding the video calling on young Haredim to enlist in the Intelligence Corps, she said: "I saw yesterday the publication of Aman calling on Haredim to enlist. One of the videos reminded me of nothing less than Germany. You see a Haredi family traveling on a trip, crowded inside a car, and they tell about another Haredi family whose son is in the army." When asked about the Auschwitz comparison, Gotliv stood by her assessment: "Does it seem normal to you to make a video to encourage Haredim in such a crude way? To show them living in disgraceful conditions? I couldn't watch this video."

After the interview, the video was identified as part of a campaign by the "Kodkod" project, the Haredi program for training programmers in the Ministry of Defense. Kodkod chose not to respond to the interview.
